You don’t need a car to get around if you plan on staying in Todos Santos, but if you want to visit places like Cerritos Beach or Pescadero, you will need a car or a driver/taxi. Please remember it can get very hot in the spring summer and fall so a car is probably preferable for anywhere further than a 10-20 minute walk.

You can rent a car at SJD airport. There are multiple car rental agencies including common North American and European companies as well as Mexican rental agencies. Please take care to check prices that include Mexican car insurance as you need it no matter what your insurance is in your home country. There are also drivers who frequently do airport drop offs and pick ups and a shuttle that goes from Todos Santos to the airport. If you need help booking a driver or the shuttle, we can send you our guide once you’ve made a booking with us.

Todos Santos doesn’t have large supermarket style grocery stores. Rather there are small corner markets, fruit markets and butchers for your food needs. There are several such stores within walking distance from Casa Naranja, and if you need a larger grocery store, there are many about an hour away in La Paz or Cabo.

There are multiple boat tours available from snorkelling trips up to Cabo Pulmo to Whale Shark watching trips that leave from La Paz. It really depends on what you want to see. We have a guide with suggestions for popular tours that’s available to all of our guests once they book with us.

Yes there are several surf schools in Cerritos right on the beach as well as multiple surf equipment rental businesses in Cerritos and Todos Santos.
